Langtalereckhütte
For the endurance fans

One of the top tours in the region leads deep into the Ötztal glacier world, up to the Langtalereckhütte. The starting point in Obergurgl lies at 1,910 metres above sea level. The roughly seven-kilometre gravel path is technically easy but demands considerable stamina due to its steep incline.

Timmelsjoch
For road fans

At 2,474 metres, the Timmelsjoch is one of the highest mountain passes in the Alps. The tour to the summit follows a paved road, making it suitable for road bikes, while mountain bikers benefit from their gearing advantage. The Timmelsjoch marks the highest point of the annual Ötztaler Cycle Marathon, which covers four major alpine passes.

Gurgler Achweg
For a relaxed ride

This short, family-friendly MTB tour follows meadows and gravel paths. Starting in the Pill settlement, cyclists follow the Gurgler Ache upstream towards Obergurgl. In Königsrain, the route crosses the river for the first time. Depending on the season, the Ache transforms dramatically—from a gently babbling stream to a powerful mountain torrent.

Hochgurgl – Wurmkogl
For experienced riders

Starting in Pill (Untergurgl), the route initially follows the Timmelsjochstraße to the toll station. From there, the climb becomes more challenging on loose gravel. The trail winds through the open terrain of Angerer Alm, leading up to Großes Kar. Eventually, it intersects with the trail that snakes down the ski slopes from the Wurmkogl.

Festkogl
For the ambitious

There are two compelling reasons to tackle the demanding ascent to Festkogl: the breathtaking summit panorama and the thrilling serpentine trail back into the valley. From Obergurgl, mountain bikers first ascend towards the Schönwieshütte and Langtalereckhütte before taking on the final climb.

Ötztal Cycle Path
For beginners and easy riders

The Ötztal Cycle Path stretches 50 kilometres from Haiming to Sölden. This well-maintained gravel route runs away from traffic, making it ideal for families and e-bikers on a cycling holiday in Austria. Along the way, riders experience five distinct climate zones in a single day.

Bike Republic Sölden
For adrenaline junkies

18 natural trails, 12 shaped lines, enduro and MTB routes, pump tracks and more await you in the craziest bike park in the Alps! In the Bike Republic Sölden, every biker, no matter how old or experienced, is given a warm welcome and guided to the right route.
