Ötztal Nature Park

At one with the environment

If you are seeking peace and quiet, you will certainly find it in the Ötztal Nature Park. The unspoiled holiday region is full of natural wonders that can be observed up close. The agreeable silence calms stressed minds during a summer holiday in Ötztal.

The only world in which you can be yourself is nature. (Boris L. Pasternak)
The Ötztal Nature Park stretches from the bottom of the valley up into the high alpine territory formed by glaciers. It has been designated a European protected area since 1995. Our Ötztal Hiking and Bike Hotel Laurin is ideally situated for exploring the wild flora and pristine natural landscape. There are no roads or cable cars in the nature park, only paths that you climb under your own steam. You can, of course, use the cable cars in the outlaying areas to make the ascent easier. The only thing to accompany you in the core areas is the sound of the streams, the rays of the sun and the sound of nature’s breathing.

There are a few special places right next to our Alpenhotel Laurin which you should visit during your summer holiday in Ötztal. The Königstal valley, the Hohe Mut as well as the Stuibenfall, the highest waterfall in Tyrol are worth an excursion. There are plenty of shady places in the Obergurgl Swiss stone pine forest, where more than 300-year-old Swiss stone pines grow. If the weather is not as good as it should be, the Haus Nature Park in Längenfeld reveals the natural diversity of the Ötztal valley.
